Debate format 4 topic

  • Introductions with no presentation of evidences.
    • Simple intro and short non-debate things.
    • 2 minutes each

  • Round 1, Howard:
    • 5 minute presentation of evidence: uninterrupted, the other party is quiet
    • topic is strictly limited to evidence supporting flat earth
    • one topic only
  • FTFE or MCToon, not both:
    • 5 minute rebuttal: uninterrupted, the other party is quiet
    • rebuttal must address only Howard’s topic, no new topics introduced
    • either FTFE or MCToon participates in this topic, not both, the other party must remain silent
  • Open discussion:
    • 10 minute open discussion strictly limited to this one topic set by Howard
    • moderator is to keep the discusison on topic
    • if either side interrupts too much a 1 minute alternating speaker mute/unmute is enacted at the discretion of the moderator
    • only FTFE or MCToon is allowed to participate, whomever gave the rebuttal

  • Round 2, FTFE or MCToon, not both:
    • 5 minute presentation of evidence: uninterrupted, the other party is quiet
    • topic is strictly limited to evidence supporting globe earth
    • one topic only
  • Howard:
    • 5 minute rebuttal: uninterrupted, the other party is quiet
    • rebuttal must address FTFE/MCToon’s topic, no new topic is introduced
  • Open discussion:
    • 10 minute open discussion
    • same rules as first round

  • Round 3, same as round 1
    • FTFE/MCToon must switch participation

  • Round 4, same as round 2
    • FTFE/MCToon must switch participation

Fill the rest of the allotted time with Q&A.

  • Closing:
    • FTFE/MCToon
      • 2 minute closing
      • either or both may present the closing statement
    • Howard
      • 2 minute closing

  • Pre recorded videos are not allowed, presentations and rebuttals are presented live
  • Pre-written scripts are allowed, and they must follow the current topic
  • All claims are to be supported with evidence
  • Links to all evidence must be shared during the debate
