- Introductions with no presentation of evidences
- Simple intro and short non-debate topics
- ~2 minutes each
- Multiple rounds of the following format based on time allowed and interlocutor agreement
- Interlocutor 1:
- Up to 3 minute presentation of evidence: uninterrupted, the other party is muted
- This is not a time to ask questions to the other side, just a presentation
- Interlocutor 2:
- Up to 2 minute rebuttal: uninterrupted, the other party is muted
- Cross-examination:
- Up to 3 questions are asked by Interlocutor 2
- Questions are asked and answered one at a time
- Questions are to be concise, the question is not a monologue
- Interlocutor 1 has about a minute to answer, uninterrupted
- Moderator is to enforce staying on topic
- Up to 3 questions are asked by Interlocutor 2
- Interlocutor 2:
- 1 minute wrap up
- Interlocutor 1:
- 9-13 minutes for one round
- 8-10 rounds is about 2 hours
- The order can be adjusted based on the agreement from the interlocutors
