The distance between the earth and the moon varies slightly. It is enough that when comparing photos of the moon close and far you can see the difference in size.

The moon also is tidally locked to the earth so the same face of the moon generally faces the earth. But not perfectly. There is a wobble, this is called liberation. Here is a video taken from The Netherlands:
