The Pacman / Asteroids map

Ronnie and Jason’s pacman map is a map projection called “Oblique Mercator Projection”. It is not rare, it is not hard to find. It’s just not as common as other projections.

The Oblique Mercator Projection is NOT a stereographic map. “…the stereographic projection is an azimuthal projection.” The AE map is stereographic, but the Oblique Mercator Projection is not.
